There’s an update to F6 too, for anyone interested.

It seems Waves have actually heard the feedback/bitchin’ and have added a real time analyser which should make the job of finding that pesky frequency much more easier.

Glad waves listened re F6 and analyser.

Now if they were just to add a dynamic cut filter (resonant) it would be great (the only dynamic EQ to have that is McDSP AE600)

Thing about F6 is, i am not totally convinced by it's dynamic behaviour.. I find it difficult to get good results carving out precise frequencies, vs say sonnox dynamic EQ or the HOFA.

Still, for $29, it's good enough for someone who has no dynamic EQ to invest in it.

Re the SSL, $129 is $129 too much for them.
Buy the T Racks, or the Glue and Duende strip. Much better results regardless of consoles modelled.. Better comps and gates. Waves EQ is fine though (again just IMO) so if you mainly want it for a channel EQ, yea, it's good. Gate is very very chattery and hard to pin down precisely.

That almost makes me want to buy it although I already have the HOFA IQ-EQ (which does double duty as both a regular eq and dynamic eq) and the Brainworx dyn EQ V2.

I want Waves DTS Neural Surround UpMix for $129 but it never goes on sale.
I have many other (better) up mixers but this one could be nice to have for some rock music um mixing tasks.

No I must admit I’ve never seen that on sale myself. Now that I think of it, I don’t think I’ve seen any of their surround sound type plugins on sale. I wonder why that is.

In other news, I’ve been having a great time with the Omni. Love the choise in saturation models, I love the preset Q for the eq it has the right shape to get a nice tone without having to resort to the parametric mode and those compressors I feel sound great too.

Just my take on it. Scheps certainly knew what he was doing.
