Any more AVID announcement soon?

I'm finding more and more PCI-X and PCI-E HD cards selling on ebay... Is AVID planning something for the near future? I'm tempted to abandon my old mix24 system and jump into HD but feel like its a RISKY BUSINESS right now!

If you need it and can make money with it go ahead or wait to see if something will be announched at Plasa, personally I doubt that.

Don't read into it any more than it is. The HD platform is here to stay for a long time. Some may not like that, however I do---I know that what I have will be further developed and supported. If I need more power, I buy more cards. Seeing them sell doesn't mean there is an announcement coming--for example I sold my HD1 PCIE Core because I had an extra that I just didn't need. Others have sold their systems due to down-sizing, closing their doors, etc.

I would think that since the digidesign name was thrown out that all digi branded products are facing the end, Im sure that there will be an "End of development" announcement in the future regarding HD systems, some time after that point I may purchase HD.

Miles all I can really say on this is everything has an end of life. So in that aspect you are correct however in everything else you said you are wrong.
