Popping in mixes using Mbox and LE 7.4.2pr
Hey all,
I am having some trouble with my mixes. I just updated my intel-based Imac (2.16 core 2 duo with 3 gigs of RAM) to OSX 10.5.3 and Pro Tools LE (running on Mbox 1) to 7.4.2pr. Now I am experiencing loud pops in my mixes, anywhere there is a right-angle in my volume-graph. This is includes sections of audio which I turned down using the downward bracket tool (sorry I dont know the official name for this) and the tail ends of individual chunks of audio where there is a sharp volume change. If I smooth out the mix, the pops disappear and its business as usual. I have all the latest PACE drivers and MBox drivers and have repaired disk permissions since the platform upgrade. It would make sense to me that sharp volume edits would create pops like that but did not had this problem with Pro Tools 7.3 or prior. Anyone experience anything similar or know of a fix? Thanks, Jesse |
