Article on the components of a mix + full session download (PT8)

I've never really had other audio engineers around me, and when I first started recording I often wished I could look at a complete session file from a "professional" track. Obviously the mix depends hugely on the recording and the desired style, but it can be nice to know even little things like where the vocal is being rolled off or how much the bass is compressed.

Now that I've been doing this for a few years I decided to write up an article going over the details of one of the tracks, along with a full (PT8) session download, with a few 3rd-party plugins replaced with default ones.

I see a lot of people here asking about mixing so I thought this might be of some help. I don't claim to know everything but this'll at least give you an idea of my personal mixing style, on a folk-rock sort of track. You can check it out here:
