Eucon 3 not happy with 10.3.6 and 11

Well... mine seemed to be working a couple of times and it has same problem again. Security update no help. I asked Avid again and the response as follows:

If my suggestion worked and the issue returned, you may have a more persistent permissions issue on your computer.

I would suggest ensuring that your primary disk is in good repair by using disk utility, and perhaps running diskwarrior to ensure the disk is in good repair.

Typical Avid answer: delete everything and reinstall their os for their software to work.

As for permission, just make a new account and test it. If it was the hard drive other application would have problems.

They told me to do the same thing when the pro-tools demo wouldn't load plugins and I'm glad I didn't reinstall os X.

I can't believe that is Avid's answer when so many of us are having problems with EuCon 3.0...hey Avid, maybe it is your software?!

I have the same problems: PT 10.3.6 and PT 11.0.1 on lion 10.7.5
When working with PT 10 a connection is made, but the faders are blank. The only workaround is to reinstall Eucon 3. Here are some issues:
- Privileges fix didn't help.
- Sometimes the Eucon 3 DMG file doesn't mount, because it seems to be damaged.
- Sometimes the installer get's stuck, waiting for other installations to complete. There is a terminal script to deal with this somewhere on the web.

I really don't want to uninstall PT11 because I love it. But we need PT10 for our daily work. I am really considering uninstalling 11 and rolling back to Eucon 2.7.
Please fix this quick!

Just chiming in one more user reporting the same connection issues:

10.8.4
PT 10.3.6.269
PT 11.0.1.544
EuControl 3.0.0
Artist Mix
2 x 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
24GB RAM

I've had to revert back to EuControl 2.7.1 and working in PT10.3.6. PT11 forced me to go to EuControl 3, but even PT11 isn't connecting so I'll have to wait until an update.

Artist Control won't connect with PT at all. 2.7.1 does.

I'm using Logic 9 here but everything connects fine on 10.8.3. Sometimes if I start my consoles while Eucon is booting the application crashes however.
From what I can see people having problems are using a later version of os X.
