Red face Opinion: Noise Reduction Plug-Ins for PT

I demoed the Izotope RX bundle and haven't found it to be quite as successful as I had hoped. Has anyone compared this against the Waves Restoration Bundle? I would like something that can be run as a realtime plug-in first to clean basic ticks/clicks out of dry vocals, then possibly print later.

Any other candidates to try (other than NoNoise and Cedar)?

Please don't suggest Sound Soap-I've tried it and it is a POS..

BR,
Ron

There WAS the Sony Oxford Restoration bundle which I thought was excellent BUT no longer on sale since the company's staff bought the company and renamed it Sonnox. However, they still support it (there is even a UB installer) and if you can find it on eBay or second hand, I can only recommend it! I even use it to very efficiently declick vinyl records while transferring them to ProTools.

Good luck,

David

Hi

RX ist nothing for realtime work , clicks or hum.
You have to tweak a lot to get good results.
Spectral repait is a killer if you understand what you are doing

I had not much succes with waves denoisers.

You can demo the stuff from wave arts.
This is also very good. Better that rx.

Ale
