cpu spike upon 7.3 startup
Since installing PT 7.3 I've noticed that every time I start PT I get a cpu spike, leaving a red indicator in the usage window that I have to click off. Everything else seems to function normally on this machine...is this a plug issue or is there anything I can do to remedy this? I usually have the cpu set at 512.

This is normal with 7.3. I also had it on two machines (PC and Mac). After installing 7.4, all is normal again. Seems like they fixed it.
The funny thing was: I reported this to Digidesign and the answer was something like "The CPU overload indicator clipping on every startup is because PT is such a powerful program". No, I'm not kidding!

Oh, god that is so funny! Talk about the huge Digi ego. So I guess until I upgrade to 7.4 I have to click the red indicator every time?

I'm running 7.3.1cs4 and it's still there.
No interest in updating to 7.4 for the sake of 'Elastic Audio' (who cares?) and losing that beautiful little red spike on every single launch.
