Default Missing WAV metadata

I'm creating mono WAV files around 20min long.
My system is PT12 on a Mac.
When I send the files to the client, some of them seem to be missing metadata. Specifically sample freq and duration.

The client is using Windows, playing back on VLC and can't see the correct file info in Windows Media Explorer.

I've tried regenerating the files as a work-around, and for a couple of jobs that seemed to work. But the problem has recurred with what I think is an identical (work-around) workflow.

This is only happening on some files (maybe 5-15%) but I can't figure out why.

Any thoughts?

Default Re: Missing WAV metadata

Can you see the metadata on your computer either in VLC or something else? Are you sending bwf files?

There's an outside possibility that the issue could be your OSX version. El Crapitan is probably the worst OSX Apple ever put out.

If the files are being generated in Pro Tools I doubt there's actually an issue with the files themselves; have the client send the problem files back to you and take a look at them with BWF Metaedit. Probably something happening on their end or in the file transfer workflow.
