Delayed playback throwing me off tempo!

Hey there. I'm using Mbox 1 and Pro Tools LE 6.7 on a Windows XP format. Here's the thing... I start my click track and I listen in my headphones as I start to play my guitar. When I play the guitar, it is not a solid playback. Instead, it's delayed and it throws me off tempo with the click. I can mute the guitar track and that will only temporarily fix the problem until I have to punch in. I was told to switch to Low Latency mode, but I can't find how to do that. Anyone have any advice?

Try, Setup>Playback Engine>H/W Buffer Size and set the Sample Rate to 128 Samples or 512 Samples. 128 Samples induces less latency, but sometimes results in a digital distortion and 512 Samples is more preferable.

It's common practice to set the H/W Buffer Size to 128 or 512 Samples and a CPU Usage Limit to the highest possible setting, whilst, mixing is much the reverse, a H/W Buffer Size of 1048 Samples and a CPU Usage Limit of 65% is common. RTAS Processors are more often than not for mixing.

Also make sure the 'Mix' knob on the Mbox itself is turned all the way to Playback, some people use this to reduce the latency, but this is not necessary.
