PT 12.7.1 changing buffer size crash PT

Hello !

I recently have a big problem with PT 12.7.1 and i don't know how to solve it. When i change my buffer size, PT start to freeze and crash ...

I tried to clean pref with PT pref but it doesn't help

my system is Mac OS X 10.10.5. Does anyone ever have this problem ?

more info please ..

1) what buffer are you changing to and from ?? ie: 256 to 128 ??
2) does this happen on a Blank Session ??
3) since there is more than 1 of you with the same issue .. thats good to try and nail it down ..
4) are you both on MAC's ??
5) computer info might help
6) and lastly - when did this start ??
7) does it happen in other version of Pro TOols ??

99 % of the time i switch from 1024 to 64 and vice versa ( 1024 for mixing and 64 for recording )

It doesn't happen on blank session but today the session wasn't big. Like 5 or 6 tracks with few plug-ins like Amplitube 4 ampeg SVX, sonarworks reference..

I had to switch from PT 12.5.2 to 12.7.1 and this problem didn't happen on 12.5.2

you know on a MAC you can have more than one version of Pro Tools loaded at the same time !!! i have 11.3.2, 12.3, 12.4, 12.5, 12.6, 12.7 all loaded up .. so you could have 12.5.2 and 12.7.1 at the same time !!!

that is odd .. i just cannot get to 64 ... 128 is fine here ..

i moved up to Sierra a few weeks back and that has been a good thing so far ...

I didn't know it was possible! how do you do install another version without erasing the other?

if you are on a MAC yes .. if PC no .. just rename them .. otherwise (Protools.app) gets overwritten ..
