Default Driver for Original Mbox?

I dusted off my old *original* Mbox the other day and attempted to get it up and running on my Mac running Yosemite. I realize it's a long shot to hope that there's a driver that would still work with this relic, but it's in perfect shape and would be a shame just to trash it and shell out the dough for a new unit.

I was inspired to try when I dug out my old M-Audio UNO midi cable and successfully found a modern driver for the UNO's successor that brought my old device back to life. I was hoping I might have the same luck with Avid. My attempts so far have not been successful. Might there be an older driver still lurking that would bring my Mbox back from the dead?

Here it is:

They make a perfectly good driver for the original mbox, I used it for years.
They even have a demo.

Thank you for the link, Ben.

I was ecstatic when I downloaded the driver, installed it, and heard my Mbox come alive again! But my euphoria was short-lived when I found out how much it would cost to purchase the driver and remove the intermittent "beep" that sounds every 30 seconds: unless I got a decimal in the wrong place when making the Euro to U.S. Dollars conversion, it'd cost me $54 US to use this driver.

While I respect the developer's efforts to fill a void, the cost is a bit steep for this broke musician just looking to dust off his old gear and rekindle the love of making music. Heck, a used Mbox3 is less than twice that amount, so if I gotta shell out some shekels, I'd probably be better off going that route.

But again, I appreciate the reply and the link.

I see what you mean.
Unfortunately, as far as I know USB-Audio is your only option with the mbox1.
