What kind of IDE HDdo i need to Digi001 ????

I've been using a maxtor 7200 30gig for the last year with no problem, but have just upgraded to 2 Ibm 60gig deskstar 60gxp's(one internal & one in a granite digital firewire case) & I love them. However my stock quantum system drive that came in my g4 just took a **** & I lost all my software.... lucky I had all the original disks to re-install, but what a bummer. Can't say what caused it, but I can say I was real mad & based on other people's responses. I will probably only buy Ibm 's from now on.

Thanks Kris and others. I've got a pre Maxtor Quantum Fireball AS 40 mb (from Club Mac!), been fine so far. Also have a 10 mb Western Digital, 7200 rpm, as the stock system drive in my 400 AGP G4, this one seems to get hammered a lot too but again, no problems in 1 1/2 years. I guess I'll know when, and if I have a melt down.
