I just picked up a copy of M-powered 8 - in a sealed box, from Guitar Center. I get through the install just fine - Ilok - check - all the way up to registering, which I have to do from a different computer, as my music box is offline. I go to the avid reg page and:

There were one or more errors:

*The serial number you entered is not valid.

*The serial number you entered has already been registered. Please verify that the serial number was typed accurately.

What the heck??? I triple checked the key entry. Is there a weird way I should have typed things in? The box was sealed, so I doubt some guitar center guy stole the reg code. What can I do short of freaking out on Guitar Center??? I'm hoping someone tells me I'm just dumb and didn't notice something, but I have no clue right now and I'm really frustrated. After coming in out of the cold from using shareware and finally buying a real DAW - this is NOT what I had in mind. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thought that you didn't have to register Protools MP, only LE.
But I could be wrong.

I downloaded my copy a year ago and had the same thing
I mailed support and got the answer that i could just click next
without entering any serial...and it worked

Yup, don't need to register with a serial.
