Default Low Latency Monitoring in 8.0.3

I know I'm gonna get hammered for this question 'cuz if LLM had gone away in the 8.0.3 beta, it'd be plastered all over the DUC. I can no longer find it as an option anymore in PT 8.0.3 (nor could I find a thread re: it's demise). Am I losing my mellon or did I miss a thread? Thanks, --Roy

rhendee,

No, you are not losing it. There is a bug in 8.0.3/8.0.4b when LLM either does not show up as a menu item (Digi002) or if it does show up (Digi003) you can't monitor while recording.

Go back 3 or 4 pages in the link JSM40 put up and you will the reports.

Digi knows about it and is supposed to be looking into it.

Greg

I have the same issue, No LLM in 8.0.4b. I seldom need it but It would be nice if it were there.

Thanks much for the replies. No worries on a beta bug...just didn't wanna be losing my mind at 44. Hopefully it'll show back up in a future release.

I'm gonna need to dig around on how y'all get along without it...I find myself using it regularly when recording my mic'd guitar, even though I seldom use plugs.

Roy,

For now, we are just using low buffer settings (64 or 128 samples) when recording. How low a buffer setting you can use will depend on your specific computer.

Gotcha Greg. Using a Quad Core and really have never fiddled much with the buffer settings, even going back to the Digi001 days. Will tinker with that until Digi lets us have LLM back. Thanks again for all the input. -Roy
