Default Computer Spec Should I Buy? (£400-£500)

Hey,

I know there are a few things I need to take into account such as hard drive RPM speed, 8 gig RAM or higher and a decent CPU speed like 3 GHz.

Is there anything else I need to consider? I have an mbox 3, with Windows and pro tools express software, although I might buy full pro tools.

Thanks

from best to standard:

#1.
a server board, ECC Ram Reg., dual CPU or Quad, 32-cores or more, up to 144-threads "intel E7 or E5-46xx", RAID0 or 10.
UltraHD 4k TV, Nvidia Quadro K620 or K2200, etc...

second best:
a Mac Pro, because can load Windows.
very flexible machine, has ECC.
Trash can 6.1 comes with a weak CPU, must upgrade.

A MacPro5.1 & 4.1 fully upgraded. "some have upto 24-threads"
MP 3.1, maybe the 3.1, can work with 64-bit.
MP 2.1, 1.1 are too old.

3rd
a MacBook Pro, up to 8-threads.
same reason, don´t think has ECC, probably not...
but Fans can be controlled.
flexible, portable & hi-quality.
there are many different, choose wisely.www.everymac.com

4th
a Gaming PC... "up to 12-threads."
any i7, no ECC. any Z or X board.
dual SSD.

*****

soundcard it´s a similar story...

You might want to start here and then ask questions.

Cheers,
