Digidesign Digi 003 Console Install and setup

I have a used Digidesign Digi 003 Console coming in the mail tomorrow Wednesday july 6th and I'M looking for any advice on making sure I have a clean and problem free Install and setup... I'M running Windows 10 with Pro Tools 12.5. I know how to download the drivers

My plan tonight was to uninstall all of the other interface drivers (M-Audio Projectmix I/O and AVID C600) then Trash the Preferences, then completely uninstall Pro Tools with a reboot between each step, then reload Pro Tools and install the AVID 003 console (9.0.6) drivers. then wait for the unit to arrive tomorrow UPS, then with the POWER turned off connect the Digi 003 firewire to the computer firewire, Power on the Digi 003, then Power on the Computer...

This is the plan please let me know what you think, any comments or suggestions are welcome, I want to make this is as pain free as possible, Thank you

Download and install the latest 003(mixer version) driver before connecting the 003 BUT******** First things first:

NEVER EVER hot-patch the 003(always shut everything down before plugging or unplugging the FW cable). Connect with everything off and leave the 003 power switch in the off position until you have installed the driver and PT.

I would also download not only the latest 003 driver, but I would also download the previous 2 versions(in case the latest DOESN'T work).

Be aware that not all FW controllers work well(or at all) so if you don't know that your PC has a TI chipset for FW, you may get a nasty surprise(but most desktop machines can accept an approved PCIe firewire card with the preferred TI chipset(if this computer worked with the ProjectMix, you should be safe).

Hello, My AVID/Digidesign Digi 003 Console is working perfect. Loaded the drivers powered the computer down connected everything to the 003 powered on the 003, powered on the computer, loaded Pro Tools and it worked perfect. Thank you

Can you check if 9.0.6 driver contains ASIO part?
