M-Audio Axiom 49 Keyboard connecting to Pro Tools 9?

I have an M-Audio Axiom 49 keyboard that I want to use in Pro Tools 9. All I have to connect it with is the USB cable that came with the keyboard. When I plugged it in and tried to use it, I got no response from the keyboard. I'm fairly new with Pro Tools so any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

M-Audio has a forum also. M-audio.com - They have all kinds of quick start setup stuff..........

Since it is a keyboard interfacing issue i would start there. One note is I would check the midi out/ usb out mode as a quick fix type of thing.......It's in the manual.

Advanced key along with the corresponding Key.....it's a toggle deal.

Same problem for me.
protools 9 + axiom 49 + win7

I just receive my axiom pro 49 and have exactly the same problem as JWhole.
It is connected to my computer via usb.
The keyboard is not connected anywhere else (I'm not using the midi in nor midi out connector).
On my laptop I'm running windows 7. The latest Axiom pro drivers from m-audio have been installed.
Ableton live (which is provided with the keyboard) is installed and my axiom pro 49 is working properly with this application.
So, i can say for sure that the keyboard is working ;-)

Now. within pro tools v9.
There is multiple places where the keyboard can be configured.

-From the m-audio axiom pro user guide i found that HyperControl can be configured like this :
setup + peripherals + midi controllers
=> type = m-audio keyboard
=> receive from = Hypercontrol in
=> send to = Hypercontrol out
=> Ch's = 8
===> This is working and I can control pro tools tracks, play, stop, etc from my axiom keyboard.

What i still can't do is to play any sound with my axiom into pro tools 9.
There is for sure another settings somewhere to activate this function, but I don't know where.

Can anybody who already configure an axiom keyboard with pro tools highlight me?

yyr123 : I feel it's more a missing MIDI settings on the pro tools side which is more likely to be answered on this forum. following your reco i had a look to the m-audio forum as well but can't find anything.

Could it be possible that the problem comes with the way my tracks are set?

Currently :
I created a new blank session.
add a new MIDI track
- patch select => none
- I/O => all / none

I read here (http://www.ehow.com/how_2311871_setu...pro-tools.html) that I would need an AUXinput track.

I tried this soluce but without any success for the moment. Any help is very welcome.
