question about HD mix bus

Slightly OT.

I am on Mix +. I use 1 x Prism Dream ADA converter unit but I take advantage of its 16 i/o capabilities. I have 2 each of the 8ch D/A, A/D and Pro Tools cards.

2 x A/D cards 16 in = tracking mode
1 x A/D, 1 x D/A cards 8 i/o = overdubbing mode
2 x D/A 16 out = Mixing mode (patched into D2B)

I track at 48k 24 bit.
When mixing, I often patch in analog outboard inbetween the Prisn interface outs and the D2B inputs.
The output of the D2B is captured at 96k 24 bit by a Cranesong converter going to a Masterlink.
Because I cant master at 96k, I use hardware SRC on a Finalizer to get back to 44.1 24 bit for my OWN 'plug in' mastering within PT Mix +..
If a project is to go to pro mastering, I take along the Masterlink and Cranesong and give them the analog outs..
