8.0.3 not respecting MIDI input channel
First off, sorry for the duplicate post. I realized after the fact that I should have put this in its own thread.
Has anybody else noticed that 8.0.3 LE (maybe even HD) isn't respecting the MIDI input device (and channel) selection on the track? Even if I select the MIDI port on my MBox, it still receives input from my USB MIDI controller (keyboard). It seems to default to "All" regardless of what you select for an input channel. This REALLY sucks. It's incredibly problematic for me since the keyboard sends patch change messages on MULTIPLE channels, and I'm only interested in catching the ones from channel 1, which I cannot exclusively select due to this bug. I have confirmed with MIDI Monitor that the data does in fact come in on separate channels. It's just that Pro Tool won't select the right f*****g channel! I have managed to work around this by routing all the MIDI data through MIDI Patchbay, but that's an absurd hack to solve something that should work right in the first place. |
