Default Digi 002 console ADAT problem

Hi

I am trying to connect Behringer ADA8000 to ADAT input as a Master but ProTools does not allows me to select ADAT as clock source.

Things I have tried so far are :
1. made sure ADA8000 is master @44.1 and 48khz *failed
2.tried another optical cable.
3.Tried another unit's ADAT out *Terratec MIC 100 ,*failed

PT 8.05 WINDOWS 8 64bit ,16gb ram
Any ideas?

Just used ADA8000 as a Master to sync Terratec and Terratec synced fine. *there is a led indicator on it.

Some things to check:

In PT, check the hardware setup and make sure Optical=ADAT(if optical=SPDIF, that could be the trouble).

Try using 2 lightpipe "cables" 002 OUT to ada8000 IN, and ada8000 OUT to 002 IN. Set the ada8000 to use external sync(this lets the 002 be the master clock).

Thanks Dave

I'll try that

BTW when launched 002's diagnostics ,tested ADATbut got no audio
I started thinking if there might be wrong with hardware....then again its OPTICAL connector ,it self seal the socket ....I don't know....

Thanks Dave

Good detective work! Those plastic plugs are pretty crappy, to say the least
