You can still purchase the plugins as perpetual licenses as well. They're just offering this as an option.

Also, for $10 more, you can get the Relab LX480 reverb. Slate has partnered with Relab to offer this. I don't know if it works inside the Mix Rack or not.

They are also releasing a "blue" version of their FG116 compressor, modeled after the old blue stripe 1176, I assume.

Looks like it. At least they aren't going to penalize you (yet) for dropping out and getting back in to the subscription. Though it will be a PITA to deal with the authorization request when you decide to get out and then back in every other months or uninstall and then reinstall.

The LX480 seems to be VST and AU only.

I have enough monthly bills to worry about. No way am I going to join a subscription plan for software licenses, it's perpetual or nothing.
