Default Jam with virtual instruments

I wonder if Pro Tools 11, that i use, are good for jamming with my electric guitar with virtual instruments with MIDI for example? I also use Energy XT, another DAW, and i wonder if somebody know the differens between these DAW in the context of jamming with virtual instruments, is Pro Tools better on that in some way? I should also say that i use AXON AX 100 MK ll as Guitar to MIDI controller/converter.

People have always said PT is under efficient with Midi....I am not sure why, I've never had too many problems

Maybe other daws are better? Idk - but yeah you could use the system to double guitar parts and keyboard parts with midi in PT

I have never had a problem jamming with midi. Even forget to set my buffer sometimes.
