Why the price

I said this in another thread, but I want to hear other peoples opinion on what's going on with AVID.
I think cause of the price hike on the software is because AVID has always made high end hardware and they gave us the software for FREE, but we begged them to make it an open application. Well we got what we asked for, an open high end application that was once free.
So we're now paying top dollar for their hardware AND software. Good job on our part.
