Is this a Good External Hard Drive?
Is this a good External Hard drive to use for recording and storing my Pro Tools sessions?
Its a OWC Mercury Elite -AL-Pro Quad Interface, Firewire 400, 800, Usb 2.0,eSata, 500gb, I have Pro Tools 8 Digi 003 Rack+ running on PPC G5 Your Input is greatly appreciated. Thank You |

Yes, great drives, especially for the price. You could probably get away with the basic version with just usb 2 and fw400. The 400 is fast enough for some pretty large sessions.

I have that same drive. I'm using it on the FW 800 bus. No issues or complaints except for the bright-ass LED. At night it makes my white dog look freaky.
