Stupid Question: How get CD output to Digi sound card?

From what I've been told, I won't need a separate sound card (e.g. SoundBlaster) in my PC... that my Digi 001 card will be just fine.

So how then to I get the output from my CD drive to the Digi card? Is there some sort of plug?

Someone had mentioned having to run a line out of the CD drive headphone jack. Surely that's not necessary, right?
