Default Digi 002 Phantam power: Stupid Question

Hello, In case you can't tell from my upcoming question, I am a complete novice. I just bought an 002 and I want to plug in a ribbon mic. However, the documentation doesn't tell me if pushing the switch (button) in activates or deactivates the phantom power. Seems like out would be off, but without confimarion... I don't want to blow the ribbon. Thanks.

Donovan
