Re: Laptop Rig Suggestions / Apollo Twin settup?
DSP, no the Digital Signal Processors, aka SHARC processors built into the Twin, where UAD plugins run. Either when you run them in Pro Tools (high latency not for tracking) or run them in the UAD Console for tracking/monitoring. The Twin can have two or four DSP processors, four will often not be enough if you want to do much with UAD plugins... but you can add Satellite DSPs or chain more larger UAD interfaces with more DSP. There is UAD documentation for plugin DSP use you can find. All this can add up $$$, lots of advice online about how to save costs on UAD plugins. They can be addictive... just be aware of all that if heading to UAD land.
