Default Have the white noise blast solved in PT11?
Hi
I'm on HD Native/PT10.3.8/Mac10.7.4
I have question to PT11 owners.
Have the white noise blast problem gone in 11?
I've been frequently annoyed by the blasts in 10.

I have not heard a White Noise blast since Pro Tools 8.0.4 M-Powered.

Maybe I should have posted on the PT11 forum..
Any HDX users experienced the blast lately?

I would buy HDX and 11 just for the sake of no-more-blast. That thing really kills you and your client.

As I remember that bug was fixed a long time ago even under 10. Can't remember at which version they fixed it but it was during our mix of Cloud Atlas which ended late summer 2012.
Are you still seeing it under 10.3.8? I haven't since then and I think it was about HDX in combination with MADI-Interfaces.

Maybe two different things?

never had a white noise blast on either my TDM or HDX rigs from PT 6x to 10x... maybe a converter problem?

Thanks everyone for the info.
I'm still using the old AutoTune 5 on inserts, quite a lot in one session, which seems to be the suspect for the blast.
A few days ago I bought AutoTune Live (AAX) and replaced all the AT5 with AT Live. Now I didn't hear a single blast today during a 12-hour vocal recording session. But now I get this audio hiccups (stuttering audio during playback) happening more frequent than the blasts...

The issue was only affecting HDX rigs using MADI interfaces back then.
