Default 10.3.5 Energy Saver on \'Never\' but still \'sleeps\'

Hi, anyone else have this? In the Energy Saver window, I put the sliders to 'Never' and close window. On restart, the G5 still sleeps after about 15 minutes. Any suggestions? This caused PT to freeze last night when it came on with the screen saver. Thanks.

Turn off the screensaver in the desktop and screensaver preference pane.

Well it's set to 'Never' in that pane too, if that's what you mean...but now I've set it to 2hrs, exited that pane, re-entered into the pane and reset the slider to 'Never'...so we'll see if it 'gets it' this time. Thanks.

Make sure the "hot corners" are made inactive, if not, your cursor can move over one and a desktop picture will appear.

OK I've checked all the above and still the screensaver comes on after about 15 minutes. This is weird. Does this suggest I need to reinstall 10.3.5 (groan)? Does anyone know what pref file this part of the o/s uses?
