Albee1952, I think we might be talking about different things? I had trouble with the last window update. The pro tools 8.0.5 update had been going fine.

all good I have the Creators update here and all is well. I was only referring to the 8.0.5 update and whether it was actually a must. setting Windows to NOT use the interface has always been a good idea, even in those cases where it wasn't a "must"

Glad you both are able to make music, but you are missing some awesome features! Clip Gain in PT10 was a game changer, and track freeze/commit since 12.4 is an even bigger game changer
