Default Problems with Pro Tools/ Focusrite 6i6

Hey you all!

This is my first post here after reading some similar threads and trying the recommendations without luck.

I got Pro-Tools 12 last week and installed it. Now after being done with the configurations and wanting to do some test projects, whenever I hit the space bar, the play icon blinks a couple of times, and nothing happens.

I tried:

-unsintalling and installing again, with administrator rights, the drivers of the focusrite (Mixcontrol)
-changing the buffersize
-changing the sample rate
-restarting the computer
-uninstalling and re-installing Protools

Do you guys have any suggestions?
I'm gonna test an M-Box and an RME device this week to see if the problems is from the Focusrite. But that's been my suspicion from the beginning.

Thanks for your help!

Juan

Oh, by the way, here's my system information:
System Details
Win 7, 64 Bits // Intel Core i7-4765T // RAM 16 GB // Focusrite 6i6 // Pro Tools 12.6

Update: I tried the MBox and it works fine. Has any of the Scarlett users experienced something like that? I mean, I can't imagine that Scarlett isn't compatible with pro tools.

Thanks again

Sorry you are having issues with Pro Tools and your Focusrite interface.
Since you are both new to the forum, please review the Help us Help You thread, which has general optimization and troubleshooting tips, as well as how to post detailed system information.

Lots of people are successfully using Scarlet series interfaces, and Focusrite has a presence on this forum, so be as detailed as you can about your setup and the issue you are having, and I'm sure we can get you going.

Thank you for your reply. Here's the Sandra report and some furtherdescription of the problem.

I installed Pro Tools 12.6. this is my first Pro Tools version. Whenever I hit play on any project, the play button will blink a couple of times and then nothing happens.
My interface is a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6. I haven't had any problems with it using other DAW (Sequoia, Ableton, Cubase) on this computer. Sample Rate is the same for playback device and DAW.

what I've already tried as listed in the first post:

-unsintalling and installing again, with administrator rights, the drivers of the focusrite (Mixcontrol)
-changing the buffersize
-changing the sample rate
-restarting the computer
-uninstalling and re-installing Protools
