What version of Pro Tools is this? (Photo Inside)

Hello,

A short film I worked on won best sound design at a student film festival and we received a copy of Pro Tools as a prize. I'm a bit confused by the packaging and I'm trying to figure out how much it's worth.

I've attached two pictures of the product. It looks like it's just an activation card, but the copyright date is from 2016. Would this activate the latest version? Is the software purely subscription based now?

On the back it says ASY SHP, PRO TOOLS ANN UPG (CARD) so I'm assuming it's a one year subscription, and that it isn't an academic version.

Sorry for the dumb question –– I googled the UPC and it pulled up a bunch of different versions (perpetual licenses, further confusing me.) I'd really appreciate it if anybody could clear this up. Thanks!

Pro Tools software is available as either perpetual or subscription. Looks like that's a perpetual license (included with an Upgrade Plan which provides the current version and a year of software releases) same as the third option listed here.
