Haha, I find paragon far easier than the others. Did you use UEFI or bios??
I don't think Paragon works with UEFI, but I am not 100%

Hmmmm, my Paragon menu looks totally different from the videos. Maybe we should chat before I rip out the last of my hair(I got tweezers and I'm not afraid to use them)

Then you are not using version 14-free. You probably installed the full version.

Regardless, I am betting the problem is that it is something with the MBR/BCD. I would try to build the BCD.

to rattle it off my head, you have to boot into command prompt. Probably via DVD in your situation.
diskpart
list disk
select disk 2 (not necessarily 2, the number of your OS drive)
list partition
select partition 3 (not necessarily 3, the number of your OS partition)

you are verifying the OS partition is there and active.

exit

bootrec/Rebuildbcd

a (all)

exit

It is the free version 14. I've been doing a backup image of the system drive(Samsung 850 EVO 500gb) to a USB3 external and its been busy for nearly 3 hours now with 38 minutes to go.............a 3rd full day spent with not much success,...... Ran another clone attempt with Backupper Pro and it finished in a reasonable amount of time, but I can't get the rig to boot with that drive installed. Second request for someone to shoot

45 minutes later and it progressed less than 1 minute. Enough of that, cancel and force close. Out of curiosity, I looked in the backups folder on the external drive and its empty.

Not much anyone can do as nobody can log in. At this point, you have to go in through command prompt and verify if the system files are all present on the drive. If they are, the MBR/BCD has to be rebuilt in order for it to boot. If the files do not seem to be present on your OS drive, you either have to figure out if you actually have images somewhere or not.

Be sure to download the latest version of Paragon free. Microsoft made some changes in how they handle disk imaging.

Thinking about what Bob said, I did check and it seems they finally updated the free version (after 4-5 years...). It just follows the full 16 version. The UI looks different, but it works the same.
