Default Bizarre bounce issue

So here's a conundrum and I hope someone out there has the answer.

I am running HD2, mac osx 10.6.6, previously I was running LE.

I pulled up an old LE recorded session which was recorded 24/48, it play fine in HD as you would expect, but when I bounce it down to any format .wav, mp3 etc the bounced down file plays way too fast.

I do not get this problem on any other session I recorded when using LE.

I have played with all settings relating to sample and bit rate...no difference. There were several songs recorded in this particular session and each of them comes out too fast on the bounced down file. I am sure it's something so stupid I am going to grown when someone out there in digiland comes up with the answer to the question.."what the hell is causing this?"

Cheers
Andy

Is pitch also shifted, or jut the playback speed? Using Workspace, see if the bounces file is listed as a 48K file or a 44.1 file. If Workspace shows the file to be at the wrong SR, PT will extrapolate the actual SR, and adjust playback time (and pitch) accordingly. You can reassign the actual SR in workspace.

Are you using BTD, btw?

BY the way yes I am using BTD. There is no pitch shift operational. But I will check the workspace to see if that provides any answers..

Is there any chance that that session was recorded with mismatched sample rates? In otherwords, the project is at 48k, but your converters are playing back at 44.1k (and it was recorded that way)?

If that is the case, it is a pretty easy fix. Let me know if that is a possibility. I know that has happened to me a couple times in the past.
