Default Yosemite and PT11

Using a beta version of Apple's new OS, Yosemite, very early initial tests are positive. PT11.2 opened right up and so did my test session. Playback was smooth, similar to SL and Mavericks. That's a good start.

This is a test computer - not a work computer - so anyone who just blew a fuse reading about this unqualified configuration can relax. I'd never install this on a work system, not yet

Great news! I'm also going to test this after family vacation :)

Works here too (beta on test machine of course)! To be honest, imho it works better than on Mavericks. Kinda snappy! But again, this is still a beta!

I've been beta testing Yosemite DP7 on a separate disk from Mavericks.
When I run Pro Tools 11.2.1 the fonts in the clips list aren't visible just the usual icons next to the clips. In Pro Tools 10.3.9 the clips list is visible but the Inserts and Sends list aren't displaying correctly. This is happening with both OS X 10.9.4 and 10.10 DP7.

Any ideas?

Have you tried the M-audio graphic interface? I tried the firewire audio graphic interface for the ProjectMix I/O and although the PM I/O works fine, the graphic interface for it doesn't. Wondering if you had the same thing with the 2626. Is this the end of the line for my beloved ProjectMix I/O? Say it ain't so….

Similar experiences here, PT11HD native running well on Yosemite beta 3, along with other DAWs. One issue seems to be that PT will not presently save & retrieve Windows sets for multiple monitors, but this has also appeared on Mavericks 10.9.5. The real outstanding issues tend to be in relation to various plug-ins and VIs and their effect on hosts. Best to remove all 3rd party, then re-jig as required.

Nice OS, IMO. Much improved over Mavericks in many ways.

It has a few root-level issues (losing wifi and airplay connectivity, Mail downloading existing messages after upgrading [a major hassle], spontaneous unwanted restarts, etc.) and some of these remain even after the 3rd beta, but I agree that it's generally a nice improvement over Mavericks. Mav sure had a short life.

Interesting difference in local situations? In my setting, Mail is very, very much improved over the awful Mavericks experience (& especially when working with multiple Gmail accounts). No issues with wifi here, but yes, airplay does not work at all yet for me. Also won't save desktops to multiple monitors.

Hated the Yosemite IOS 'lookalike' at first, but over time am much appreciating the 2D easy-on-the-eye when in the midst of complex screens in apps like PT. Simply, am finding less eye strain and fatigue at the end of the day.
