Default RIP Jack Bruce

Jack Bruce, bassist of Cream and other bands, died today at age 71 of liver disease. It was his bass riff that he came up with on Sunshine of Your Love on his upright bass that powered that tune. Played Warwick Thumb basses, with a fretless amongst regular models. He was one of my bass inspirations.

Mine, too. I always said I'd give my left nut to be able to sing like that, let alone the playing.

RIP.

He had that voice that never seemed to crack no matter how high in range or volume he sang.

Funny thing is I'd been contemplating adding a fretless Warwick bass to my instrument arsenal for a while now. Jack played Warwicks the last few years.

Can't comment on Keith without cracking up. Sad to hear about Jack Bruce! While he may have suffered a lack of sunlight in Clapton's shadow, I put him up with the best of the best(and I agree....that VOICE!!!)
