Default Mac to PC

I am currently using an iBook G4 with Protools LE, but its time to upgrade! I am considering building or buying (if i can get a really good deal) a desktop pc more suited to audio production.
My question is, will I have to buy a pc version of Protools when I make the switch or what steps do I take??

Also, does anyone have any advice on what pc to go for or any particular hardware??

Thanks
Jimmy

Spend some time in the section for LE on Windows and you will learn what parts to choose for building a killer PT rig. As for your old sessions, If they are on an HFS+ drive, the new PC should be able to open them fine IF(big IF) they are done with a recent version of PT-7 or newer-or they were created with the Enforce Mac/PC compatibility box checked. PT7.4 and 8 have an HFS+ compatible check-box when you install the software. Check that box during the install.

I love my MBP, but I still love a good PC (Win 7 is awesome).

Definitely check out some i7 deals, although you may want to hold out since I believe prices almost always drop sometime in the first quarter of the year...
