Default Suggestion for User Profile

It would be nice if I could add(and edit) my current hardware/software configuration to my profile and if this info was accessible to others. This would eliminate posts like 'what's your set-up / more info please/ etc.

The Ultimate Bulletin Board software only allows certain fields and values in those field limiting the number of characters. It's not something we can change like our own html pages.
We have everything enabled in the profile section that is available, but we only get what they give us.

Bruce,

would it make sense to set up a page for each registered user from your end? It could be accessed within the UBB through a link in the 'webpage' category of the user profile. The User would frequently update his own setup info to make sure that the info stays current. Your support people would be able to access this info, also Digi could send announcement etc...( a little bit of data minig here but could be actually pretty heldpful for anyone involved). I personally would not consider this a 'big brother' situation...

Yes? No?

Greetings,
Polyester

Hey Bruce, if you feel strongly enough about this, go get some free Angelfire space and put up a single page with your setup, you could include the link in your signature, which would automatically be included with all your posts. Maybe others would follow your example.
