Default where is model # on G5?

Hi,
Am trying to dtermine if my G5 Dual 2gig is a 2nd generation or not. Digi Compatibilty chart says 10.3.5 is ok for G5 second generation model #s M9455 and M9457, but can't seem to find that number. Profiler only gives serial #.

Thanks for any help

In System Profile under Hardware, it's the Sales Order Number.

It's on your G5's box, and on your sales receipt from wherever you bought it.

My G5 is not in front of me but I recall it being on a small ID sticker inside. maybe you have to remove the clear plastic air flow assy, but it's easy to see.

take the side panel off. On the bottom of the inside bay where the panel fits into is sticker that is oval shaped (retangler with round sides) its back ground is grey and will have white writing, it will say the model number on that i belive. How long ago did you buy it, more less is second generation if its when in 2 months.

it should be there, in not check your box it came in or...the sales ticket.

Best,
Kev
