I want to like Brazil - I really do.

But Every time I watch it, I fall asleep in the same part and wake up in the same part - different times of the day watching it, too.

Same thing happens with The Magic Christian.

Must be something subliminal going on . . .

BRAZIL is one of my all-time favorite movies, with some great music and yes -- a KILLER bit of work by Robert DeNiro. What's not to like? The quintessence of man in the machine age, marginalized. 'Ere I am J.H., the ghost in the machine. . . . Sometimes I feel that way with all these machines around my music. That's when I go unplugged.

I'm glad that a single quote in my signature has created so much discussion.

I watched the DVD of "Brazil" last October when the tensions about the whole terrorist attack were still really high. One of the special features of the DVD was a list of various quotes from some of the scenery decoration in the movie. What was creepy was how all these quotes describing a government in a terrorist siege state eeriely mirrored much of what Ari Fliescher was saying in news confrences daily. It was one of these bizarre and randome occurances where art was able to mimic a real life event, well before the real life event ever occured.

By the way, I just found this message board over the weekend, and with all the technical difficulties that I've been having the last few days, its been a lifesaver.
