Default Touch Screen Overlays - Anyone useing them?

Hi,

I saw this recently, and wondered if anyone here is or has used them with PT HD:

I think this can be a cool add on for ProTools. But before I go spend on one, I just want to see if anyone has used this before.

Thanks

Looked into it once, and considering what touch screens cost, I think a small control surface is a much better investment. Just my 2 db.

if you were really considering this route I would go with a Wacom Cintiq....I've used the 21UX with Pro Tools and it's pretty cool for doing things like graphical auto tuning and drawing freehand automation curves.

I have not used this one so take this with a grain of salt. Looking at the specs, it shows pressure required for activation to be 50-300 grams/sq.cm. I wonder if that is adjustable in software, because even at 50 I would think it could be too "stiff" to be comfortable over a long haul. Also, there is an error allowance of 3mm, which could mean that when you meant to press a solo button you pressed mute instead. It might be fun to try though. I used a Wacom for a while and eventually went back to mouse and keyboard.

Do you actually plan to use it over a monitor, or just on a table top?
