ElevenRack decided to reset itself!

Yesterday I updated ProTools to 10.2. Everything worked as supposed for several hours. After some time I decided to get rid of the incredible cablemess that had built up around the rack. Switched off and unplugged the ER rack and put it aside. Got rid of all cables and plugged in the ER again. When I came to the pedalboard I did a short tapdance on it just to realise that all my rigs were gone!! ER had reseted itself! Lucky me I had a quite recent backup.
My question are:
Has anybody else experienced such?
Does anybody know if there are any "dangerous" ways of plugging/unplugging the ER? I might have unplugged audio/usb cables with unit On. I´m sure I used the mains switch before unplugging power.

Remainder to all... do that backup today.

Thanks for the link. I too tried the on off with fingers crossed "solution", without luck

Yeah it sucks, hasn't happened to me since though, so thats good.

Always do those backups every-time you change something, save it to computer before shutting the 11R off.
