Hi no worries ! The settings i mean are on a different place . Just type "midi" in the search bar and when you see a piano icon just click on it. Also check on your login items to see what apps are running when the OS boot in background .

How much *exactly* is stuff speeded up. "Like a Chipmunk" is not a lot of detail.

e.g. measure the duration of the clip duration vs. expected.

Do you have 2x playback enabled? Did you have half speed record enabled?

Are you using Pro Tool ultimate? (edit: nope looks like Studio from the profile info so you can ignore: ) Got number keypad Shuttle Mode/Lock enabled and playing back fast?

Lots happens easily with unintended keyboard/control key presses or even faulty keyboards. Any of those terms unclear to you or you not sure on how to enable them search in the Pro Tools Reference Guide PDF.

Ok so here's the right screenshot Capture d’écran 2023-06-04 à 11.18.21.jpg
How do I check my login items ?
When I play the recording at half speed my voice sounds normal so I guess that answer the question.
I also hoped it was just a problem of me pressing the wrong keys accidentally but I tried trashing my preferences and uninstalling and reinstalling the software and it doesn't work.
Still I will check if 2x playback is enabled

Look up Shuttle Lock in the manual for info on this feature.

CTRL + 5 on the numeric keypad is normal playback. Lower numbers equal slower playback and higher numbers equal faster playback. If this is the cause of your problem, then CTRL + 5 should solve it.

TBH - I think you’ve probably recorded at half speed and thus half speed playback sounds correct. If this is what you’ve done, either use Elastic Audio in Varispeed mode or you could probably do a sample rate change to bring it back in line.

Ok so that's what I thought but I don't have a numeric keypad I'm on a macbook air so I couldn't possibly enable this function by accident using this shortcut.
Even If I did I tried trashing my preferences and uninstalling and reinstalling the software so shouldn't this solve the problem if I just recorded at half speed ?(and yeah I tested recording new stuff on a brand new session after reinstalling)
As for trying with other sample rates I tried 44100 48K and 96K each time making sure that my session was using the same sr as my audio interface.
