Pro Tools SE Will Not Open

I've not seen anything - anywhere - about this (which may be a testament to my lack of skill with Google/the Avid site), so, here I am.

Suddenly, about a month ago, my Pro Tools ceased to open. I've since (today, in fact), tried a repair, and a complete reinstall. Nothing will make it open. The software updater throws an error. The only program that runs is the registration program, and...that's been done, before. I've got Windows 7 (hell, I had to GET 7 to make this thing run stable. Wasn't gonna risk it on Vista), and it stays properly updated.

The only recently installed (set of) program(s) was The Sims 3, which my girlfriend installed because her Mac wouldn't take it. Honestly, Pro Tools stopped working after this installation, but...I can't directly blame it, because I didn't use the program for roughly a week after her installation.

Is it as simple as blowing away the Sims, or is something more sinister afoot? Please, I beg of you all, help.

Well, it ain't the Sims, since that's now gone. That having been said, it seems that my Registry Server crashes everytime I try to either uninstall, or reinstall Pro Tools. Insert worry, here.

I'm having the same problem. I bought a Fast Track USB audio interface that came with Pro Tools SE. After installing it I get nothing. The program won't launch, no errors given, no messages. I'vve tried reinstalling three times but no luck. I hope someone will with a solution will reply in this thread.
