Avid Artist Control Soft Key Pages

My Control surface is, and has been giving me fits from many directions. I am beginning to suspect that the machine was in someone else's hands, and that the soft keys were modified before it was sold to me as new. Is there any kind of guide as to how the soft key pages ship from the factory?

The soft key settings are stored in the software, not hardware.
