Copying mix automation
Hi,
I'm doing a mix of a live gig and I have a situation. I will have to do two mixes, one for video/DVD and one for TV which will somewhat shorter. I don't want to have to mix the same songs twice so I was thinking of copying the automation data from mix one and pasting it onto mix two (which will be at a different timecode location). There are about 60 audio tracks. Is the best way to do this to put all waveforms in volume mode, make selection and copy. Then place cursor at new timecode location and paste? I hope I've made this clear. Any thoughts? DW |

Re: Copying mix automation
How about the following:
-Mix the full-length program to your liking. -Use the File>Save As command to make a copy of the session. -In the session copy, shorten the program to fit the time restrictions of TV (while leaving all of your automation data intact). Brent |
