Default Fast Track C400 not detected

Hi.
I have been using the fast track c400 for a couple of years with pro tools 9 on windows 8.1. It has been working fine until yesterday. Windows doesn't detect it all of a sudden. I have had this problem before, but then I pulled out the usb cable and inserted again, then it would work again. That doesn't help now. I have also tried removing and reinstalling the newest driver (and older drivers as well). Restarting the computer... Nothing helped.

I noticed that the power-light on the fast track is pretty week. It didn't use to be like that. When I tried the usb 3.0 port it said there wasn't enough power to run the device. I normally use usb 2.0 for the fast track.

Could it be that there is not enough power to run it all of a sudden? Any other suggestions?
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

Can you test the C400 on another computer? Also, try another USB cable.

Please post your full system specs too.

Hi Joel

I tried the c400 on my older computer, and the lights on the c400 flashed to indicate that there wasn't enough power, though it used to work just fine on the old computer a couple of years ago.
I haven't tried another cable yet (I don't have another usb A -> usb B cable).

Here are my system specs:

Thank you :)

Make sure you're using the latest drivers here:http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/d...k-C400-Drivers

If it doesn't work on another computer, with a different USB cable then I'd suspect a hardware failure. If that's the case, you'd either have to get it serviced or find a replacement (probably cheaper).
