I don't know if the demo installers are the same as the release installers. What I would do if I were you is trash the plugin cache so Pro Tools has to rebuild it from scratch the next time it starts. Then see if the problem reoccurs.

Hi James Thanks for the help. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but I don't see instructions for trashing plugin cache at that link. Is it within one of those guides?

I installed v5.1.1 by the way.

If you follow this you will delete the plists aswell as cleaning up your databases on your setup:

I like the "double jointed" design, where there's a second knee that can essentially act as an upward expander (see image)

It's really good for dynamic instrumentation, especially when there's bleed or a slightly higher noise floor - you can even out the lower passages without changing the very quiet passages or squashing the loudest parts. Helps tighten things up without killing the overall dynamic range.

The only other tools in my box that can achieve this are combinations of expander and compressor, and only if the expander is capable of ratios less than 1:1 (Waves C1 can, iZotope Nectar has a "floor" setting on its gate that will allow this to be done). I wish more dynamics plugins would allow curves like the SSL X-Comp.

I've never noticed this issue with any version of Duende and I've used them all since 1.0. I'm not even sure what could be causing that. Are you making adjustments with the mouse or with a controller of some sort?

Every knob/switch reacts for me (using mouse).
