My best bet is that you need to re-install. If only to get the drivers for the 002r installed. No biggie IMHO.

Just plu in the 002 and open protools. It should recognize the hardware but you still need to set up your I/O anyway.

Re: changing mbox to digi002r for a session
If you are installing the 002 on the same computer, you may have to install a driver, maybe nopt, but I use my mbox at home and the 002 at the studio and there is no problem switching between them (different computers though). If you used the 002 to record and have inputs slected that the mbox doesn't have, it just makes htem inactive until you go back to the 002 (if you ever do), then when you go back to 002 they are active again. If you need to change the inout for whatever reaosn, PT knows which interface is connected and will give the appropriate options. Same goes for outputs. A quick way to change inputs, if you don't already know this, is to select the tracks you need to change, then hod shift-alt and select the input, this selects the same input, output, aux send, etc for all of the selected tracks. control-shift-alt slects them in increments for all selected (say you sleetc 8 tracks wanting to assign adat 1-8 to those tracks respectively- select the 8, hold control-shift-alt, click on the forst tracks input, select adat 1, and voila!, each track has the next available input, so 1 would have adat 1, 2 would have adat 2, etc.). Even easier in 6.9 now that you can shift click to select a rnage of tracks. Hope that helps.
