Windows 7 64bit, M-Audio, and random clicks & pops
I have random clicks and pops on system when just playing videos or using Pro tool M Powered 8.04.
I'm running Windows 7 pro 64bit, notwithstanding the report below listing "Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 6.01.7600",!? I think the problem relates to the MAudio driver I have the latest one for W7 64bit. Although it installed ok first time as did PT. Has anyone resloved issues with random clicks and pops and 64bit Maudio drivers? PT runs great (really excited about it!) except for the random clicks and pops (killing enjoyment big time!). I'm using PCI mAUDIO 24/96 card as my qualifying audio input device. The Delta MAudio Control panel set to sample rate of 48KHz with ASIO/WDM buffer size set to 384 samples. Sync Source locked to internal. Windows 7 software optimizations I have done so far: 1. Disable Network Cards and onboard Audio Devices 2. Disable USB Power Management Unchecked the box that says 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.' 3. Disable System Startup Items 4. Hard Disk Optimizations Unchecked 'Compress this drive to save disk space'. Unchecked 'Allow files on this drive to have contents indexed...'. 5. Turn off User Account Control 6. Adjust Power Options Created High Performance power plan Turn Off Hard Disk set to Never display's sleep time set to Never computer's sleep time to Never 7. Adjust Processor Scheduling Background Services option selected 8. Disabled Screen Saver 9. Display Performance 'Adjust For Best Performance' selected ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SiSoftware Sandra Computer Model : Dell Precision T1500 Workgroup : WORKGROUP Host Name : MusicBox-PC User : MusicBox Processor Model : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz Speed : 3GHz Cores per Processor : 4 Unit(s) Threads per Core : 2 Unit(s) Type : Quad-Core Integrated Data Cache : 4x 32kB, Synchronous, Write-Thru, 8-way, 64 byte line size, 2 threads sharing L2 On-board Cache : 4x 256kB, ECC, Synchronous, ATC, 8-way, 64 byte line size, 2 threads sharing L3 On-board Cache : 8MB, ECC, Synchronous, ATC, 16-way, Exclusive, 64 byte line size, 8 threads sharing Computer Mainboard : Dell 0XC7MM BIOS : Dell 2.2.0 07/06/2010 Bus(es) : ISA X-Bus PCI PCIe IMB USB i2c/SMBus Multi-Processor (MP) Support : No Multi-Processor Advanced PIC (APIC) : Yes Total Memory : 6GB DIMM DDR3 Chipset Model : Dell Clarksfield/Lynnfield DMI Front Side Bus Speed : 2x 5.85GHz (11.7GHz) Chipset Model : Intel Core Desktop (Lynnfield) UnCore Front Side Bus Speed : 2x 5.85GHz (11.7GHz) Total Memory : 6GB DIMM DDR3 Memory Bus Speed : 2x 1.63GHz (3.25GHz) Memory Module(s) Memory Module : Kingston KP223C-ELD 2GB DIMM DDR3 PC3-10700U DDR3-1334 (9-9-9-25 4-34-10-5) Memory Module : Kingston KP223C-ELD 2GB DIMM DDR3 PC3-10700U DDR3-1334 (9-9-9-25 4-34-10-5) Memory Module : Kingston KP223C-ELD 2GB DIMM DDR3 PC3-10700U DDR3-1334 (9-9-9-25 4-34-10-5) Video System Video Adapter : ATI FirePro V3750 (FireGL) (SM4.1, 256MB DDR3, PCIe 2.00 x16) Graphics Processor Adapter : ATI FirePro V3750 (FireGL) () Storage Devices WDC WD2500AAJS-75M0A0 (250GB, SATA300, 3.5", 7200rpm, NCQ, 8MB Cache) : 233GB (C:) WDC WD1500HLFS-01G6U1 (150GB, SATA300, 3.5", 10000rpm, NCQ, 16MB Cache) : 140GB (E:) PLDS DVD+/-RW DH-16ABS (SATA150, DVD+-RW, CD-RW, 2MB Cache) : 3GB (D:) Logical Storage Devices RECOVERY : 10GB (NTFS) AudioRec (E:) : 140GB (NTFS) @ WDC WD1500HLFS-01G6U1 (150GB, SATA300, 3.5", 10000rpm, NCQ, 16MB Cache) OS (C:) : 223GB (NTFS) @ WDC WD2500AAJS-75M0A0 (250GB, SATA300, 3.5", 7200rpm, NCQ, 8MB Cache) Hard Disk (Q:) : N/A BUILD (D:) : 3GB (UDF) @ PLDS DVD+/-RW DH-16ABS (SATA150, DVD+-RW, CD-RW, 2MB Cache) Peripherals LPC Hub Controller 1 : Dell H57 LPC Interface Controller LPC Legacy Controller 1 : Fintek F71882FG/F71883FG Audio Device : VIA M Audio Audiophile Serial Port(s) : 1 Disk Controller : Dell P55/PM55/3400 6 port SATA AHCI Controller USB Controller 1 : Dell P55/PM55/3400 USB2 Enhanced Host Controller USB Controller 2 : Dell P55/PM55/3400 USB2 Enhanced Host Controller SMBus/i2c Controller 1 : Intel 801xx/63xx SMBus Printers and Faxes Printer : Microsoft XPS Document Writer (600x600, Colour) Fax : Microsoft Shared Fax Driver (200x200) Network Services Power Management Mains (AC) Line Status : On-Line Operating System Windows System : Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 6.01.7600 Platform Compliance : x64 Windows Experience Index Current System : 5.9 |
