Post Windows 7 64bit, M-Audio, and random clicks & pops

I have random clicks and pops on system when just playing videos or using Pro tool M Powered 8.04.

I'm running Windows 7 pro 64bit, notwithstanding the report below listing "Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 6.01.7600",!?

I think the problem relates to the MAudio driver I have the latest one for W7 64bit. Although it installed ok first time as did PT.
Has anyone resloved issues with random clicks and pops and 64bit Maudio drivers?

PT runs great (really excited about it!) except for the random clicks and pops (killing enjoyment big time!).

I'm using PCI mAUDIO 24/96 card as my qualifying audio input device.
The Delta MAudio Control panel set to sample rate of 48KHz with ASIO/WDM buffer size set to 384 samples. Sync Source locked to internal.

Windows 7 software optimizations I have done so far:

1. Disable Network Cards and onboard Audio Devices

2. Disable USB Power Management
Unchecked the box that says 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.'

3. Disable System Startup Items

4. Hard Disk Optimizations
Unchecked 'Compress this drive to save disk space'.
Unchecked 'Allow files on this drive to have contents indexed...'.

5. Turn off User Account Control

6. Adjust Power Options
Created High Performance power plan
Turn Off Hard Disk set to Never
display's sleep time set to Never
computer's sleep time to Never

7. Adjust Processor Scheduling
Background Services option selected

8. Disabled Screen Saver

9. Display Performance
'Adjust For Best Performance' selected
